WARDROBE SYMBIOSIS: LETTING YOUR FILM “POP” THRU DRESSING ROOM INFLUENCE

BOXER EXPOSE / SHADOWBOX MVMNT
Shadowbox is a digital platform that provides Artists (i.e. = Writers, Film Makers, Musicians, Fashion Designers/Brands, and Social Entrepreneurs) with a shared workspace to cohesively sell, distribute, and generate untapped business together. Via 30 day terms, through our economic movement, you can work together, earn together, and split the paycheck evenly. The Shadowbox infrastructure pays you (based on total collaborative sales) right to your mobile phone, in a safe and seamless manner, if (and as) requested.
It’s important to understand that our network operates through (6 Boxers). Each (Boxer) represents a color, lifestyle, focus, and theme (if you will). The Red Boxer (namesake Shadowbox) stands for Cinema / TV / Theater. The Pink Boxer (named Haymaker) stands for Brand / Fashion / Product Origination. We love watching these two Boxers collide. Our platform provides a Window (Shadowbox Collective), Channel (Shadowbox TV), and Page (Shadowbox MVMNT), that extends the focus on each of our (6 Boxers).
Our multi-media network (currently live in beta taking submissions) covers Collaborative: 1. Commerce (Shadowbox Collective), 2. Television (Shadowbox TV), 3. Journalism (on this here Shadowbox MVMNT), and 4. Networking (Shadowbox Generation arriving in 2016). Our social venture drives heavily on juice fueled up through artistic cohesion and symbiosis. When somebody mentions the term “symbiosis”, we look at our business model and grab a strong sense of pride. Why? We foster connection and influence to cross-brand and communicate via the platform that we have built. Details are offered on https://shadowbox.space/.
Getting to the chief discussion, we respectfully ask that you try and rewind to Hollywood in the 1940s and 50s, and you will clearly see, that movies and fashion have gone hand in hand, and will continue to do so. The influence delivered by this relationship goes way beyond the screen, and remains terminal to trending rhythms in branded medium and entertainment. Branded medium is critical in our age, but the symbiotic relation between a design and a film (or track, etc.) must remain in 1940’s Hollywood until others state differently. Just an opinion.
Shadowbox Studios takes this relation into every step with wardrobe and set design. With that being said, this hybrid studio also believes in the “Micro Budget / Macro Heart” tactic behind artistic development in any form, fire, or fashion.. “That is our motto when starting any creative process,” states Shadowbox Founder John Whitman, “you should be able to entertain or reach another with 101% heart and soul, that is driven and charismatic, so you can thrive without a budget that may (or may not) steer the drive accordingly.” So….
Does that mean that Shadowbox Studios engages shoe-string budgets on every shoot and motion? No. Does every piece of clothing need to be a major bargain to make the Shadowbox list for wardrobe? No.
“But it feels rewarding when people tell you that your film “pops” or your content “pops” and the product line “pops”…..etc. etc. ” says John. “We get what they mean, because we are on the same level, and we attribute comments like these to designers, musicians, and creators before us, who can help us generate the stylistic persona we seek.”
Shadowbox Studios currently does not push and/or endorse any specific brand and/or product on screen. We attend to strategic and genuine wardrobe agendas, bringing forth the raw edge a lean a start-up company like Shadowbox strives to gain, and won’t stop until “gain” is achieved authentically.
“Shadowbox values every penny spent through seed / production phases. Where fashion is concerned, yes, many of the hottest and loudest pieces of clothing we use are bargain deals through web sales on behalf of some of the listed brands. From time to time, as we fuse an iPhone Shot next to a Markiii, we blend a thrift store “JC Penny’s 1981 Mens Blazer” with a button down linen dress shirt designed by creative spirit Gianni Versace. Yes, we do that too, but very respectfully and conservatively” states John. The conclusion: “If your lines, threads and attitude are kept in check and remain explosive, then breaking through with a stylish film on a cost effective plan, with dope fashion, and a shared vision…anything is possible….point blank…we wear what influences us. Whether it be the cap of a radical musician, a comfortable blazer to let us grab that inner “Don Draper”, a certain kind of thread, or a real branded / designer engagement experience….. it’s the stylish support that brings forth extra consideration on behalf of all of our actors and artists” concludes John.
“This Boxer Series on Shadowbox MVMNT deploys our dream to run feature pieces on many of the brands and designers that have given us a sense of creative leadership and confidence – to kindly show recognition, gratitude, and respect to the social, cultural, and creative experience given. We must thank each and every designer/brand that’s influenced us with their construct and origination, giving us the edge needed on set” – John Whitman, Founder – Shadowbox.
